Legal immigration is a highly regulated and tightly controlled system that serves the national interest by allowing a limited number of close family members and much needed employees to come to the United States each year. Through our legal immigration system, United States citizens and lawful permanent residents united with close family members, and United States' employers obtain specific skills necessary to strengthen the United States' economy and remain competitive in the global economy.
Kirton & McConkie's Immigration Practice Section handles the full spectrum of immigration matters, including family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, non-immigrant and immigrant visas, reliefs from removal, such as deportation and cancellation of removal, administrative and federal judicial review, naturalization and citizenship, employer sanctions, compliance with immigration laws, and some criminal immigration.
The section's attorneys are members of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, an association devoted primarily to advance the science of the administration of law pertaining to immigration, nationality, and naturalization, and promoting reforms in the law for the benefit of the immigrant community. One of our attorneys has nineteen (19) years of experience in this field and has been the chair for the Utah Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Our attorneys are also fluent in Spanish.
