Overview

Karen DelPriore is a member of the firm's International and Corporate sections. She specializes in assisting U.S. and foreign companies and non-profit organizations with international business transactions, including general business advice and entity formations. She frequently assists businesses with issues involving foreign market entry strategy, tax and customs compliance, and entity management. She has also assisted clients in navigating microlending issues and regulations in several countries.

Ms. DelPriore interfaces on behalf of clients with local counsel in various countries, having done work principally in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean. In particular, she helps clients navigate entity formation, product importation, customs valuation, tax issues, and repatriation strategies for doing business in China.

In addition, Ms. DelPriore has extensive experience with franchising and other business models, such as licensing and business opportunities. She assists franchisors with domestic and international structuring, legal documents, and compliance, and works with state regulators on issues related to franchise law.
