Kirton McConkie’s Stephanie Wilkins Pugsley creates first father-daughter mediation and arbitration team

Press Release
07.12.2012

Stephanie Wilkins Pugsley, Of Counsel with Kirton McConkie, and her father, retired Utah Supreme Court Justice Michael J. Wilkins are now part of exceptional panel of neutrals with Mediation Services. Recently, they successfully co-mediated resolution of a multi-million dollar claim against a municipality by a real estate developer and others. Both have significant experience in commercial, contractual, construction, and other business disputes.

Ms. Pugsley is active in the dispute resolution community, recently presenting at the Utah Council on Conflict Resolution Symposium. Her years as a litigator, coupled with her time at Pepperdine's Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution and her natural tendency to look for solutions rather than problems, make her effective in helping parties reach compromise.

Justice Wilkins retired in 2010 after more than 16 years as an appellate judge. Nearly 20 years of litigation and business representation combined with the broad experience of his judicial service, give him a valuable depth of understanding. Those who have engaged Justice Wilkins as a neutral have reported his quick wit and ease of understanding make him very effective.
