Christopher M. Sanders

Christopher M. Sanders is an experienced litigator and trial attorney with an emphasis on commercial and real estate litigation. He has represented a wide range of clientele, including both for and against multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Sanders has published articles with both the Utah Law Review and the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute. As of the date of this writing, his Utah Law Review paper entitled “The Battlefield of Tomorrow, Today: Can a Cyberattack Ever Rise to an ‘Act of War?'” was the most popular online article prepared by a Utah law student in the history of the Utah Law Review, having been reviewed over 4,000 times by experts around the world. Among all articles published online with the Utah Law Review, it has ranked in the top five for more than five years. The Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal called it “one of the most important and timely articles” on technology and the law. 

Each month, Mr. Sanders dedicates a significant portion of his time to assisting Utah residents in a pro bono capacity. He helps those facing debt collection lawsuits and was one of the first attorneys to provide assistance through the Utah State Bar’s new Virtual Legal Clinic, with which he continues to assist.

Mr. Sanders earned a JD from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, graduating with highest honors for his academic standing. There, he received many other notable awards and honors, including numerous academic awards, two of which were for the highest overall grade in trial advocacy, which consists of a mock trial, and statutory interpretation taught by Justice Pearce of the Utah Supreme Court. Mr. Sanders earned a BS from Southern Utah University where he graduated with high honors.
