Kirton McConkie seeks to hire summer associates who are dynamic, bright, talented, and energetic. Summer associates are hired with the hope and expectation that if they perform well, they will qualify for a long-term professional career.  Kirton McConkie’s summer associates are typically in the top 10% of their law school class. We also take into consideration individual characteristics such as integrity, leadership ability, excellent written and verbal skills, and participation in extra-curricular activities. Kirton McConkie strives to give summer associates exposure to a wide variety of legal matters with a cross-section of attorneys. We try to accommodate individual interests, while at the same time encouraging summer associates to expand their horizons by experiencing multiple areas of law. Also, a number of opportunities are provided for the summer associates to socialize with each other and with the attorneys of the firm in settings outside of the law office.
