Expanding to St. George to Serve the Whole State

Recent studies have shown that Utah is one of the fastest-growing states, ranking ninth in the country with a 1.2% increase in 2022. One of the cities with the highest growth rate in Utah is St. George. After recognizing southern Utah's growth and need for law services, Kirton McConkie answered the call. By opening a law office in St. George, we expanded our services to not only the residents of St. George, but nearby residents of all of Washington, Kane, Iron, and Garfield counties. Our services aren't limited to Utah residents either; residents of nearby northern Arizona and eastern Nevada can significantly benefit from having access to the experienced team at Kirton McConkie.

St. George is the Fastest Growing Metro in the U.S.

According to a report from the U.S. Census, St. George, and all of Washington County, has ranked as the fastest-growing metropolitan area in America, with an increase of nearly 10,000 residents between 2020 and 2021. This vast increase of growth wasn't isolated to 2020 and 2021. In fact, over the course of the last five years, the population in the area has grown by over 20%.

What Makes St. George so Great?

As a popular travel destination, many who decided to move to St. George permanently have many reasons for doing so. Here are just a few reasons why St. George is a great place to live.

Business

Utah's job market is one of the strongest in the nation, remaining strong before and after the pandemic. Utah's business environment remains strong, with a low unemployment rate and an estimated 50,600 new jobs created between November 2021 and November 2022. Within the St. George metropolitan area, businesses grew by more than 30%, with a GDP increase of 4% each year.

Education

St. George is home to many highly rated elementary, middle, and high schools. It's also home to Utah Tech University, Utah's most affordable public university. With an undergraduate enrollment rate of fewer than 12,000 students, class sizes are small, and learning opportunities are big.

Low Cost of Living

Though the cost of living has increased in the past few years, the average cost for St. George remains less expensive than the national average, coming in about 2% lower. It's even more affordable than the state's capital, Salt Lake City.

Recreational Opportunities

The St. George area boasts a seemingly endless list of recreational opportunities. Residents and visitors enjoy quick access to many outdoor trails, golf courses, and parks. Snow Canyon and Sand Hollow State Parks are just a short drive away, and Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, and Capitol Reef National Parks are nearby. There's no shortage of recreational opportunities in St. George and southern Utah.
